Pamplin Historical Park offers visitors an experience of life in the 1860s during the Civil War. Featuring houses that served various roles during battles in the area, recreated areas that detail stories like the lives of slaves and military exhibition areas, the living history center is perfect for families and groups. Costumed interpreters help bring the past to life and share the events of the Civil War in new and exciting ways. Also held at the park is the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, where a collection of Civil War artifacts and memorabilia are displayed. Situated just a few miles west of downtown Petersburg, the park is near Dinwiddie County Airport.
